About
NWA Asian Eats is a personal, passion project started with the vision of creating an ad-free space listing all the Asian restaurants and grocery stores in Northwest Arkansas.
Jessica’s parents immigrated from Taiwan to start a small, independent Chinese restaurant chain in Baton Rouge in the 1980s. She always grew up with amazing meals with both her parents being cooks: her mom preparing traditional dishes for dinner, such as Taiwanese beef noodle soup 紅燒牛肉麵 and sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves 粽子, and her dad experimenting with new dishes, such as tofu pudding 豆花 or when boba tea 波霸奶茶 started trending in the United States. She grew up in Houston, Texas, frequently visiting Bellaire’s Chinatown on weekends.
She now resides in Northwest Arkansas and seeks out new Asian restaurants, boba tea cafes, and grocery stores to visit and support. When she is not being a “foodie”, she enjoys playing board games, cosplaying, and running half-marathons.
